From the Tyler Police Department: 

TYLER, TX - On Monday December 30, 2013 at approximately 7:11 p.m., officers responded to 427 Oakland in reference to a robbery of an individual call. 

A 29-year-old black female victim was walking on Oakland Street.  A dark color 4-door truck pulled up, three large black female suspects got out, and approached the victim.  One of them took her purse and they struck her several times.  The subjects then got back in the truck and left. 

The victim was taken to East Texas Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.  The case is currently under investigation by Tyler Police Department.
