BOLTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two more people are behind bars Tuesday night in connection to the huge theft ring bust in Bolton. We first showed you the stolen tractors, fiber optics and other goods intended for the black market Monday night.

Tuesday, after the sun came up, we got a much better view. And according to Hinds County Chief Deputy Chris Picou, two additional people have been arrested in a nearby county, but the names and charges have not yet been released.

The stolen heavy equipment; Back hoes, tractors, trailers, hundreds of thousands of dollars of stolen heavy machinery, is back with its owners, as the investigation continues.

"We lost the back hoe and it was worth about 20 thousand," said Billy Lee. "We lost a truck worth about 10 thousand and a trailer worth about six thousand."

Billy Lee from Tullulah, Louisiana, says his property was missing for about three weeks before he received the unexpected phone call from the Hinds County Sheriff's Department.

"We hadn't got our truck and trailer back yet, but we did get the back hoe back," said Lee. "There was a lot of items here. I guess we were fortunate ours wasn't messed up too bad, but some if it was dismantled."

Machinery worth thousands of dollars was dumped throughout a muddy wooded property just outside of Bolton. Most of it stripped.

"They'll normally move it to another area of the country, say the Midwest," said Chief Deputy Picou. "They will sell it on the black market and they can get 40 or 50 cents on the dollar for that stuff."

It took crews hours to remove front end loaders, pieces of dully trucks and diesel gas tanks from the property. A huge tool box was recovered, but still missing was thousands of dollars worth of tools used to repair oil rigs.

While stolen property was being dug out from ditches and trenches, deputies believe even more stolen property could be buried beneath the surface.

"It's always good to get your equipment back," said Lee.

Thousands of dollars of fiber optic cable, diesel gas tanks and pieces of a dually truck were also found during the bust.

Thirty-six year old Christina Thornton from Newellton, Louisiana, and 25 year old Charles Alexander of Timpson, Texas, are behind bars. Both are charged with receiving stolen property, but more charges could be coming.
