COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A Burger King restaurant located on Wynnton Rd. was robbed at gunpoint on New Year's Eve by a masked man wearing a black hoodie.

The suspect demanded money with a gun in his hand. Witnesses say he escaped in a black Crown Victoria car with chrome or silver rims. There were two other males in the car.

The suspect is described as a black male between 5' 6" to 5' 9 in height and weighs between 140-150 lbs. His hoodie had a large unknown, white emblem on the back. He wore baggy blue jeans.

Police arrested two men at a nearby gas station who fit the description, but officers later determined that they were not involved.

This is a continuing investigation.
