Republican caucus names new IN. state rep

A republican caucus was held on Saturday to name Suzanne Crouch's Indiana State Representative position.

The caucus voted Holli Sullivan the new rep for House District 78.

Sullivan received 20 of the 36 votes.

She was one of five candidates vying for the spot.

The five candidates only had two weeks to prepare for the vote, but Sullivan said she made it work and had lots of support.

"It's hard to put into words," said Sullivan. "I am very humbled by the response that I got this morning at the caucus. I'm very excited. I can wait to start working for House District 78 and everybody that was there."

Sullivan will be sworn in Monday, if weather permits.

She said she is already preparing to run for re-election in November.

Crouch was recently moved to state auditor.
