KELLY: Louisville interested in Rich Rod?

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Almost as soon as Charlie Strong told Louisville Saturday that he was leaving to become the head coach at Texas, rumors surfaced that among the people Cardinals Athletics Director Tom Jurich will seek to speak with about the sudden vacancy is Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez.

Ultimately it will come down to what is a better football destination, Louisville or Tucson.

I personally think Tucson is a better destination, but then again I think Tucson is a better destination than Eugene too.

So the money will do the talking as it always does. Louisville despite playing in a smaller conference is very well heeled Athletic Department on the fiscal side.

I fully expect though that if Jurich calls Rodriguez he will at the least go have the conversation, if he hasn't already. That's what coaches do.

That's what I would do and you would likely do too.

You can watch Jurich's press conference HERE.
