    Residents in east Alabama are rounding up the Labor Day celebration at one of the Alabama's oldest courthouses. The courthouse located in Seale, Ala. is the third oldest in the state. This is the first fair since 2010 when the fair restarted, and it originated in 1980 to raise money to refurbish the old courthouse after it began to deteriorate.More >>
PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (WTVM) -

Callaway Gardens reopens Sunday, January 12 after a brief Winter break.

They are offering free weekday admission beginning January 13 through February 28. The free admission is only for Monday through Fridays, and excludes weekends and holidays.

Visitors can enjoy seeing butterflies sprout their wings and take off in the warm and tropical Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center. They can also visit the John A. Sibley Horticultural Center.

Also available through February will be the Discovery Bicylce Trail. Visitors can either rent bikes or bring their own.

Additional highlights include the 43rd Callaway Gardens School of Needle Arts as well as exhibits open to the public, January 12 through January 22; the 28th annual Southern Gardening Symposium, January 24 through January 26, featuring renowned Garden experts including James Farmer; the year's first Callaway Gardens Fitness Series Event, a marathon, half-marathon and 5K race on January 26; and a romantic Valentine's Day Dinner Package available on February 14 and February 15.
