Teen arrested for dragging man underneath his car

Columbus Police have arrested Cleveland Farley, 18, for a hit-and-run where he is accused of knocking a man off his scooter and dragging him under his car for over a mile.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Cusseta Rd. and Old Cusseta Rd. Monday evening. In addition to causing the accident, Farley is charged with not having insurance, no driver's license, and the wrong tag on the Pontiac Montana he was driving.

The victim, Tommy Jackson, remains in the hospital in unsatisfactory condition.  His friends and family said doctors had to cut off one of his arms due to the injuries he received from being dragged.

Witnesses said they tried to get Farley's attention, honking their horns and shouting that a man was caught under his car, but Farley did not stop until he got to his neighborhood in the 500 block of Farr Road.
