Authorities in Harris County said an elderly woman who went missing Tuesday afternoon has been found.
The Pine Mountain Police Dept. said Virginia Kirk Smith, 76, was found safe and is doing fine.
Sheriff's deputies in Twiggs County said they located Smith just before midnight outside Macon, Ga.
Smith was observed driving at an abnormally slow speed, and when they ran her license plate, deputies discovered she was a missing person.
Officials said Smith suffers from dementia and loses sense of direction easily. She told deputies she was lost and she left her cell phone at home.
Smith's family drove straight to get her and she was returned to her home several hours later.
