COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The circus is coming to town, and the Ambassador of Laughter is getting kids ready for the show by reading to children across the Chattahoochee Valley.

The Ambassador of Laughter is Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey® clown Jamarr, who has now made appearances at Fort Benning, Children's Hospital at Midtown Medical Center, Mildred L. Terry Public Library, A.J. McClung YMCA, Boys & Girls Club, and Our House.

Jamarr's purpose is to promote literacy while making people laugh, and preparing people for the upcoming circus performances.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents Super Circus Heroes℠ will be at the Columbus Civic Center Tuesday, Jan. 28 and Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014. Both performances will be at 7 p.m.
