AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

The Auburn Police Division responded to a forgery in progress call at a business in the 500 block of Lee Road 53 at approximately 12:47 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Police arrested Auburn natives 42-year-old Reginald D. Washington, 33-year-old Courtney T. Threat and 31-year-old Justin A. Patrick from Opelika on felony warrants charging them each with possession of a forged instrument second degree.

Officers located Reginald Washington still at the business. Threat and Patrick were located by officers near the store; both were recognized as being the subject of a prior forgery investigation reported on Jan. 3, 2014 at the same business.  Forged checks were presented for payment after which they received currency in return.

All three subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail. Threat and Patrick will each be eligible for a $3,000 bond. Washington will be eligible for a $3,500 bond, due to him having an additional charge for failure to appear.
