MCSD bans e-cigarettes from campuses

MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -

E-cigarettes are becoming a popular alternative to traditional cigarettes, but they will no longer be allowed on campuses in the Muscogee County School District.

The district communications director Valerie Fuller tells News Leader 9 Muscogee County has banned e-cigarettes on all campuses in the district.

The new regulation is being added to handbooks, and a letter was sent out to parents of students to make them aware of the new policy.

Currently all tobacco products are banned from school property.

The existing policy is being revised to include the word e-cigarette.
