Furman at Georgia Southern

The Eagles were back on the court Thursday night in Southern Conference play as they played host to Furman. The Paladins came in at 0-4 in the conference, while Georgia Southern is currently 1-1 in league play, coming off a one point loss to Western Carolina.

Furman got off to a fast start as Adonis Rwabigwi with the brought it home with the slam.

The Paladins led by as many at 12 points.

The Eagles battled back with a steal by Tre Bussey and tough layup. He had 26 points to lead Southern.

Curtis Diamond dropped a pass off for Brian Holmes, who had a nice move underneath, for two of his nine.

The Eagles got hot from the field as Bussey hit a three from the corner, and Georgia Southern wins 88-81 in overtime to improve to 2-1 in the Southern Conference.

Francis Marion at Armstrong

In Savannah, Armstrong played host to Francis Marion.

Pirates head coach Evans Davis was trying to get it to 3-4 in the Peach Belt Conference.

In the first half, Emmanuel Tuliscar grabbed the steal and threw it ahead to Eric Eversley for the basket and the foul.

Latet, Kyle Callanan goes baseline for the bucket. Then Montel Baines with the fake and the basket.

Armstrong wins it 85-73 as five Pirates score in double figures.

Armstrong women win thriller

In the second half, Jesup native Alexia Bell goes off the glass for the Patriots.

Then it's former Jenkins High Lady Warrior Camille Dash with the Basket. Dash led the Patriots with 15 points.

It all came down to the last 1.5 seconds, as former Richmond Hill standout Tyler Carlson hit the three pointer to give Armstrong the 74-72 win.

The Lady Pirates improved to 4-3 in the Peach Belt conference.
