Day 2 of the 16th annual Savannah Tire Hockey Classic


Georgia Tech wins 4-1 over Florida State

The Yellow Jackets have proven their abilities time and time again at the civic center owning 3 of the last 5 Thrasher cups. Friday night they continued to show their dominance against Florida State.

In the first, bad bounce for the Noles gets picked by Eric More and Jack Kisor comes in for the back-door goal. Tech leads 3-0 at this point.

In the second, we go FSU finally makes it into their zone, Chris Brown off the wing goes glove side on Charles Ingram. Brown would end up being the play of the game.

Gators dominate Dogs 14-1

In the second game of the night, the defending Thrasher Cup champs Georgia face off against Florida. Danny Hill for the Gators gets lit up over the boards by Georgia's Peter Kacer. It's all down hill from there for the Dogs they fall flat in the first.

Michael Dutka up the middle for the Gators, a little two on one, goes five hole on Kevin Smith. Smith pulled from in between the pipes after the first. The Gators win 14-1. They play FSU on Saturday. The dogs will look to rebound against Georgia Tech.
