PORT WENTWORTH, GA (WTOC) -

Port Wentworth police are investigating a body found in a house Saturday morning.

Police responded to the 100 block of Fox Glen Ct just before 8:30 a.m. and found the body of a 33-year-old female. Police tell WTOC there was no sign of forced entry into the house and that it was too early to rule a cause of death for the female.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations is assisting police at this time. The body is being sent to get an autopsy sometime next week.

Investigation into the death is ongoing.
