AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - A Columbus, Ga. man has been arrested and charged in an Auburn robbery that occurred in November 2013.
On Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 the Auburn Police Division arrested 21-year-old Da'Raebian S. Barefield from on a felony warrant charging him with first degree robbery.
The arrest is the result of an ongoing investigation of a robbery that occurred on Nov.24, 2013 in Auburn. at a residence located in the 200 block of West Longleaf Drive.
Barefield was subsequently identified as one of the three individuals involved in the robbery. He was also arrested for failure to appear and probation violation.
Barefield was transported to the Lee County jail and will be eligible for a $100,500 bond.
On Nov. 24, 2013, officers responded to a call at approximately 9 p.m. in the 200 Block of West Longleaf Drive. The victims told police that they were robbed at gunpoint by three individuals, who stole an Apple iPhone valued at $250 and $200 in U.S. currency while they were visiting a residence in the area. The suspects fled the scene on foot with the property, and no one was seriously injured.
The Auburn Police Division also arrested 20-year-ol d Autumn R. Macon-Scaff from Auburn on the scene of an unrelated charge and taken into custody Monday Nov. 25, 2013. She was later arrested on the felony robbery warrant while still in custody at the Lee County Jail, and her bond was set at $100,000.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are possible.
