PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - A building in Phenix City that will be used by law enforcement agencies around the region was dedicated to the Russell County sheriff Wednesday afternoon.
It was dedicated and named after Sheriff Heath Taylor and has a plaque on the side of the entrance.
The new investigators building features brand new offices, interview system and room as well as other state-of-the-art electronics.
Sheriff Taylor explains why this building was much needed in the county.
"Investigations, when you're dealing with cases and other investigators coming in to your department, working on things together, this building has been much, much needed and I think that it will carry this department into the next probably 25 years," said Sheriff Taylor.
Sheriff Taylor says there is enough space to be used in conjunction with other investigative departments and agencies around the region.
