COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Two arrests were made on Thursday, Jan. 23, when a Columbus man reportedly stopped traffic for an incident involving prostitution.

According to Columbus police reports, at around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, an officer saw a white 2002 Honda Civic stop in the middle of the street, impeding the flow of oncoming traffic near the intersection of 25th Ave. and Dawson St.

When the officer approached the vehicle, he reportedly saw a male driver leaning over a female passenger and carrying on what, the report says, "Appeared to be a very nervous conversation."

Terry Redding, 45, of Columbus, was arrested and charged with pandering.

Sarah Hood, 30, also a Columbus resident, was arrested and charged with prostitution.

A third woman, described in the police report as "a known prostitute in the area" was reportedly involved in the time of the incident, but was not included in the arrests described in the report.

The case is still under investigation.
