COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

The first weekend of USC baseball scrimmages left head coach Chad Holbrook ticked off.

Several players made their way into Holbrook's dog house by the way they conducted themselves off the field this weekend.

Holbrook is upset with sophomore pitcher Jack Wynkoop and a few other players for not "doing things the right way."

"Part of it was because some of the guys didn't handle some responsibilities off the field that we ask them to handle this weekend so I was playing them around a little bit," Holbrook said. "That's part of why Wynkoop threw last."

Coach Holbrook's frustration with Wynkoop made him uncertain on where his projected weekend starter falls in the current pitching rotation.

"You know, we try to hold our players accountable and do the right things off the field," Holbrook said. "Some of them didn't handle it the right way… we'll hopefully learn from it and get better, become a little more committed trying to do what we are trying to get done here."

Holbrook added the team can't become complacent.

"Sometimes that attitude permeated a little bit this weekend I thought," Holbrook said. "We'll try to correct that this week."
