What's the best way you can prepare your home for winter?

The number one thing is to winterize your pipes and make sure they are insulated.

You can help keep them from freezing by opening bathroom and kitchen cabinet doors to allow warmer air to circulate around the plumbing.

It's also a good idea to keep the thermostat the same temperature both during the day and at night to prevent pipes from freezing or bursting.

Visit these links from the Weather Channel for more information on preventing frozen pipes and what to do if your pipes freeze or break.
