Roads closed due to ice, snow across central Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Several counties and cities are closing roads due to the severe weather. Here's a rough list of the closings. We'll post them as we find them.

Chilton County - All roads and bridges closed

Hueytown - All roads closed

Tuscaloosa - Watermelon Road closed due to ice. Tuscaloosa toll bridge is closed.

Cullman County - The County has asked the State Troopers to Close County Road 222 at State Hwy 69.

Talladega County - All roads declared impassable.

Coosa County - All roads closed.

Tuscaloosa County - Lock 17 Rd from Hwy 216  and Covered Bridge Road are closed by Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Office.

Shelby County - Multiple roads have icy conditions. Visit http://www.shelbyal.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=26 to see all Shelby County road closings.

Pleasant Grove - All roads closed

Anniston - All roads closed

Oneonta - All roads closed

Midfield - All roads closed

Etowah County - All roads closed

Jefferson County - Chalkville Mountain Road and Roper Road closed.

Dora - Roads closed

Pickens County - All roads closed

Pelhma - State Park Road closed at Amphitheatre Road to 4-way stop

Bearden Road closed from Pelham High School to Helena Road

Hwy 31 closed at North City limits entering Hoover

Co Rd 52 Westbound closed at Pelham Heights Rd.

Ballantrae Club Drive closed

Co Rd 11 expected to be open to one lane by 4 p.m.

*Many other municipal streets are impassable and travel is discouraged, except due to emergencies.
