Exclusive Preview of News at 5 & 6

Hope you're doing well on this cold night. This is Jason Dennis from the warm WTVM newsroom. Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6!

The temperatures are dropping and bridges in our area are starting to freeze over. Our chief meteorologist Derek Kinkade has the very latest on the chances of snow, and if we'll see any in Columbus. Also, stay tuned for updates on local school closings, along with wrecks on icy roads in Troup County and Opelika.

We continue our LIVE team coverage of the winter weather in East Alabama and from the Metra transit system in Columbus. Find out what the Georgia department of transportation and area road safety crews are doing to keep you safe!

Tonight, President Obama will deliver his state of the union address. We have a special preview from Capitol Hill, with a look at what the president is expected to address in this big speech.
