If you find yourself stranded on the side of the road during the winter storm, there are a few safety tips you should know.

According to State Farm, there are a number of things you should pack before you brave the icy roads. 

They say you should pack a ice scrapper, matches, blankets, and a cell phone charger.

Also, if you get stranded it is important to stay calm.

They advise drivers to pull off the highway if possible and put your caution lights on.  You should also remain in your car until police show up.
