ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Gov. Nathan Deal gave an update on the winter storm recovery in Atlanta Thursday.

The governor was joined by GEMA Director Charley English.

In the press conference, English took much of the blame for the response to the winter storm in Atlanta.

"I got this one wrong. By at least six hours," the GEMA director said. "I made the decision not to do anything until later that morning."

Deal said he would not use English as a scapegoat, and also acknowledged more attention to the next weather event.

"We will take those weather warnings more seriously," said Deal
