COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Tickets to the March 15-16 Thunder in the Valley Air Show will be available for purchase beginning Monday, Feb. 3. Advance tickets are $10 per person, per day, and may be purchased online (with an additional $1.50 service fee) and at a variety of local retail locations.
"Thunder in the Valley Air Show is an extraordinary value," said Phaedra Childers, Event Coordinator. "Attendees will be surrounded by a world-class group of aviation acts and displays. The combination of affordability and up-close entertainment really makes this air show the best ticket in town."
Ticket buyers will be thrilled by what they see "In the Air and On the Ground." Aerial acts include Franklin's Flying Circus (Dracula Demon-1 biplane and Wing-Tip Draggin' Comedy Act), Melissa Pemberton (aerobatic and wing suit performances), the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Division and the Silver Wings Parachute Demonstration Team.
On the ground, the Indy Boys Jet Powered School Bus and Jet Outhouse will roar down the runway, while the display area will feature everything from CAMO Group military vehicles to aircraft from the Hixson Flight Museum, Berlin Airlift Foundation and Tiger Flight Foundation, to hands-on activities with Archery Connection and a Kids Carnival.
Each day also features can't-miss opening and closing acts: The U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence Band and The Immortals: The Epic Battle of Good vs. Evil, a dazzling grand finale featuring Franklin, Pemberton and the Indy Boys' Paul Stender.

Local ticket outlets accept cash only. Ticket prices are $8 Military Discount (Sold only through MWR Ticket and Travel at Fort Benning), $10 Advance Discount and $15 Day of Event. Children ages 6 and younger are always free. Each ticket is valid only for one of the two show days – to attend both days requires two tickets – and there are no rain dates or refunds.
Online advance tickets will be available until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 14. Retail locations will offer advance tickets until close of business on Friday, March 14. Only $15 Day of Event tickets will be sold after that.
Gates will open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. on both Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16.
