TUSCALOOSA,AL (WBRC) - Tuscaloosa Police took a man into custoday early this morning after he stabbed his brother to death.

Police say 37 year old Kenneth Darnell Sledge was found the 4700 block of 5th ave in Tuscaloosa lying in the street around 1:00 a.m.  Sledge was transported to DCH Hospial where he died from his injuries.

Investigators later determined the suspect to be the brother of the victim.  39 year old Fredrick Lavelle Sledge arrived later at DCH Hospital with a cut on his back.  Sledge was taken into custody after being treated and released. 

 He is currently in the Tuscaloosa  County Jail.  His bond set at $75,000.00  Police say the motive for the incident is unknown at this time.   The investigation is continuing.
