MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A sandwich restaurant chain is opening its first store in Montgomery.

Jimmy John's broke ground on it's new location in the Cloverdale area. The restaurant is scheduled to open in May.

The chain is known for it's fresh baked bread and fast service -- making sandwiches in 30 seconds.

The Montgomery location will have a drive-thru, delivery and eat in.

Franchise owner James Howard says he hopes to have about 20 delivery drivers and 20 employees in house.

Howard said he would like to open more restaurants in Montgomery.
