CLOAQ® Apparel teams up with RadiaShield® Technologies to deliver the CLOAQ with RadiaShield® cap, the first in their line of products.  With this collaboration, CLOAQ® Apparel will provide the same protective technology that RadiaShield Technologies®, the makers of Belly Armor®, provide to pregnant women and their unborn babies. This technology works via a highly conductive silver textile that has the ability to shield radiation by neutralizing incoming electromagnetic waves. The fabric reflects and absorbs these harmful waves, canceling out ambient radiation, and thus reducing exposure. It utilizes the same shielding process found in industrial and military applications. CLOAQ® Apparel products embedded with RadiaShield® Technology will help to shield all users from non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation created by devices and gadgets we use daily i.e. cell phones, computers, iPads, tablets, Wi-Fi modems, microwaves etc.

President and CEO, Joseph Guidry, created CLOAQ Apparel® while searching for a way to protect television camera operators from potentially harmful wireless radiation caused by extensive use of camera and audio equipment.  As a television producer and camera operator for 20 years, he has witnessed firsthand the growing demand for increased television and cable programming, and the growth in multiple means for viewing, including usage of mobile devices.

"TV crews are exposed to harmful electromagnetic fields daily up to 12 hours per day," says Joseph. "The camera and audio gear we use to make TV shows emit high levels of EMR (Electromagnetic Radiation). It is our goal to shield people in the entertainment industry as well as the individual who has everyday exposure produced by cell phones, electronics, smart meters, microwaves and Wi-Fi."

RadiaShield® Fabric has undergone rigorous internal testings and has proven to be highly effective. In an independent FCC-certified and NVLAP-accredited lab, RadiaShield® Fabric was tested to have shielding effectiveness of 99.9% for the range of everyday radiation (<10MHz – 8+GHz).

This month, CLOAQ Apparel® and RadiaShield® will premiere their first CLOAQ® WITH RADIASHIELD product on INDIEGOGO®.  INDIEGOGO® is a crowd funding platform for creative projects from films and games to design and technology.
