GOOCHLAND, VA (WWBT) -

The body was found down an old logging road in a muddy field. The group Waterloo Hunters leases the property and says the land is only used for hunting.

They thought no one had set foot here since early January and were surprised to hear the body was found here.

The spot is just a few miles from Fork Union, where Quick's vehicle was seen after he disappeared, last week. The SUV was eventually discovered in Louisa Monday. Court documents reveal evidence recovered inside the car include rubber gloves, hair, fingerprints and a box of cigarettes with a green leafy substance inside…

The people who police say stole Kevin Quick's SUV are 18-year-old Daniel Mathis and his sister, Mersadies Shelton.

Mathis is also facing charges stemming from a shooting in Louisa, where he allegedly used Quick's SUV as the getaway car.

Additional documents show Mathis has an extensive criminal past.
