MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Crooks have found several ways to take innocent people for all they've got. The most recent case? Using a legitimate business for fraudulent purposes.

One woman found about this scam the hard way after she thought she was paying a debt to a real company. It turns out the alleged "bill collector" was a fake and just pretending to represent an actual business.
