SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

A Selma woman is being sought by Selma Police for attempted murder.

Selma Police Officers responded to a barbershop at the 2700 block of Alabama Avenue on Friday. When officers arrived they found a male, in his thirties, suffering from a single gunshot wound to his abdomen.

According to witnesses, the victim was shot by his ex-girlfriend, 39-year-old Lakeisha Michelle Prince, with a small revolver.

According to police, the suspect allegedly entered the barbershop angry, and told the victim that she knew he was having an affair with another female. The suspect then attempted to slap the victim, but was pushed away. That is when, police say, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

The suspect fled the scene in a white, early 90's model, Honda car. Prince is believed to be armed and dangerous, and a warrant has been issued for attempted murder.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Ms. Prince, please call the Selma Police Department at 334-874-5256 or Crime Stoppers at 334-874-2588.
