Major grant from philanthropic arm of CompTIA will help establish comprehensive alumni program
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Creating IT Futures Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CompTIA, has awarded Genesys Works – Chicago with a $100,000 grant to establish a more comprehensive alumni program.
With a mission to help populations that are under-represented in information technology (IT) and individuals who are lacking in opportunity to prepare for, secure, and be successful in IT careers, the Creating IT Futures Foundation supports and shares best practices with organizations that have been successful in IT workforce development.

"Genesys Works – Chicago is creating amazing outcomes with its students. We want to help solidify their students' foothold in IT with a robust alumni program."
With the support of the Creating IT Futures Foundation, Genesys Works – Chicago will enhance the services provided to its alumni by bringing a dedicated alumni coordinator onto its staff and assisting alumni in securing additional technical certifications.
Eric Patton, executive director of Genesys Works – Chicago, stated, "We are thrilled to continue our relationship with CompTIA and the Creating IT Futures Foundation.
