Because accumulating ice is expected to begin forming very early Wednesday morning, travel could be dangerous in many places, especially on bridges and overpasses.

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has declared a state of emergency for the state. She also put the National Guard on active duty to support state agencies.

She said Tuesday morning she doesn't believe anyone should be on the roads Wednesday.

"No one should be on the roads tomorrow at all," said Haley. "We do need to brace ourselves. This is going to be a pretty bad ice storm."

There is also a very good possibility of widespread power outages.
