Upcoming blood drives in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The American Red Cross is in need of blood donations in the wake of severe winter weather.

Lakewood Primary School in Phenix City held a blood drive on Friday Feb. 14.

More than a thousand blood drives in 34 states were canceled because of the weather from the beginning of the year until this week.

There will be at least six blood drives held by the Red Cross in the metro-Columbus over the next week.
