(WTVM) -

Four individuals have been arrested for their involvement in the murder of Carl Dickinson.

On February 14, 2014, the Lee County Sheriff's Office formally arrested Angela Marie Dickinson, 31, Paul Nathan Phillips, 46, Jake Ellis Bartlett, 22, all of Auburn, and Travis Lamont Kyles, 20, of Tuskegee, after a Lee County Grand Jury issued Capital Murder indictments on each of these defendants.

All four defendants were already incarcerated in the Lee County Detention Facility on charges relating to a murder for hire plot which led to their initial arrest but have now been upgraded to Capital Murder.

These charges stem from the following events which occurred on Sunday September 8, 2013 at approximately 3:15 PM CDST.  The Lee County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting an injured man at a residence on Lee Road 649 northwest of Auburn.

On arrival deputies located an individual who suffered from what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his upper body. An adult male who resides at the victim's residence told deputies that he came home to find the victim and called 911.

The victim was identified as Carl Ellis Dickinson, 59, of 80 Lee Road 649 Auburn. Dickinson was found inside his residence where he resided with his wife, an adult male family friend and two pre-teen children.

Angela Marie Dickinson, Paul Nathan Phillips, Jake Ellis Bartlett, and Travis Lamont Kyles were all arrested for their involvement in the murder of Carl Dickinson.

Anyone with information regarding this case is requested to contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office at (334) 749-5651(334) 749-5651    or Lee County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-522-78471-888-522-7847   . 334.749.56511.888.522.7847
