AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - The Auburn Police Division has obtained felony arrest warrants for 19-year-old Nicolas Z. Pattillo and 18-year-old Zachary T. Bronson of Notasulga, Ala.
They are charged with three counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft of property third degree and one count of theft of property second degree.
On Wednesday, Feb. 19 the Auburn Police Division received a report of a theft of a cell phone valued at $250 from a school in the 400 block of S. Dean Road.
During the course of the investigation police developed Pattillo and Bronson as suspects after they were contacted by officers in Tallassee in possession of the stolen cell phone.
Further investigation by the Auburn Police Division determined that Patillo and Bronson were responsible for the theft of the cell phone and were also responsible for auto burglaries and thefts that were reported to police on the same day.
The victims, who reside in the 200 block of Conrey Drive, 300 block of Carter Street, 1200 block of Nixon Avenue and the 1000 block of Old Mill Road reported having electronic devices, credit cards and U.S. currency totaling over $700 stolen from their vehicles while they were parked at their residences.
Police recovered electronic devices taken in the thefts in the possession of Pattillo and Bronson.
They are both currently being held in the Elmore County Jail on related charges filed by the Tallassee Police Department and will be transferred to the Lee County Detention Facility once released on bond.
Additional charges are expected.
