Frayser community marches to end violence

Posted: Updated:
MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) - It has been a violent month in the Frayser community. On Saturday, neighbors marched to stop the violence.

Lifeline to Success partnered with the Frayser Neighborhood Council for their annual Unity in the Community March.

Earlier this month, someone opened fire on a home on Wiley Street, injuring one person. That same week two men were shot to death inside an apartment complex on Brooksville Drive.

"It's very important because as a whole as a group everybody should come together not hurt one another," said Treasy Alsobrook with Lifeline to Success.

Organizers say it will take an entire community coming together to stop the violence.
