Filming schedule reworked after fatal train incident

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

WTOC is working to find out when the filming for "Midnight Rider," tentatively scheduled to begin Monday in Savannah, will begin due to last week's tragic death a production crew member.

The movie about Greg Allman will eventually proceed with filming in Savannah following the Thursday death of filming crew member, Sarah Jones, in a train accident that injured seven other crew members in Wayne County.

Det. Joe Gardner said the preliminary information suggested the crew had permission to be on the property next to the tracks, but did not have permission from CSX to be on the actual tracks.

Several scheduled casting calls were canceled from the weekend.  The film office, film commission and Meddin Studios are currently reworking the filming schedule.

WTOC will have the latest filming information as soon as it is released.
