Shelby Co. Health Dept. sends warning about norovirus

(WMC-TV) – Norovirus is hitting the Mid-South and the Shelby County Health Department is warning residents of several outbreaks across the county.

Commonly known as the cruise ship virus, norovirus is easily spread from person to person. There's no vaccine and antibiotics won't help reduce the symptoms.

Health experts say your best bet is washing your hands with soap and water.
