NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A large grass fire off Highway 100 and Vaughns Gap Road, near Edwin Warner Park, has been extinguished Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported just before 3 p.m., and arriving crews soon called for support getting water to help battle the spreading fire.

Nashville Fire Department officials said the fire was out by about 4:30 p.m.

There are no reports of injuries, and investigators believe the fire may have started when sparks from a passing train ignited dry grass along the railroad tracks.

About three acres were burned.
