Memorial scheduled for camera assistant who died in train incident

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS/WTOC) - Services will be held Wednesday for Sarah Elizabeth Jones, the camera assistant who died last week while working on the Gregg Allman biopic, "Midnight Rider". 

Several others were also injured when a train came down the tracks and hit the crew while filming in Wayne County, GA. 

The tragedy has put filming on hold. 

Sarah Jones, originally from Columbia, graduated from the College of Charleston, and was just 27-years-old. Jones was currently living in the Atlanta area. 

On Wednesday, a 4 p.m. memorial will be held for Jones at Ashland United Methodist Church in Columbia. There will also be celebration of Sarah's life at 5 p.m. at Saluda River Club.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to: BC Education Foundation Sarah Jones Scholarship Fund c/o Brookland-Cayce High School 1300 State Street, Cayce, SC 29033.
