AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - On Tuesday, Auburn Police arrested Mohamed Alyami, 21, for allegedly sexually abusing a young girl inside his home on Armstrong St. in Auburn. He is charged with first degree sodomy and sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old.
The alleged sexual abuse was reported to police on Feb. 23. Another man, 29-year-old Nathan Childers, was previously arrested for his connection to this incident. Childers is charged with first degree rape, first degree sodomy, and incest.
Alyami was taken to the Lee County Detention Facility and is being held on $50,000 bond.
This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are possible.
