Business Break - Empty Bowls

Columbus Parks and Recreation, along with Feeding the Valley, are gearing up for their annual Empty Bowl fundraiser. The Empty Bowl fundraiser has been in operation for around 20 years.

The event offers soups served in bowls decorated and some even made by local artists.

All the proceeds from the event help low income families in the area put food on the table. Over the years, the money raised has helped to create 15,000 meals for kids in the community.

This year's Empty Bowl event will be held Sunday March 2 at the Northside Recreation Center. It starts at 11 a.m. and a little over 1,000 bowls will be available to choose from.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.
