Senior District Attorney to leave DA’s office

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

LaRae Moore confirms she is leaving the District Attorney's office for a position with Hatcher Stubbs law firm.

Moore tells us she plans to be out by the summer.

This comes just days after a major win in the 2013 New Year's Day murder trial of DeQuandrea Truitt and Shaquille Porter.

Moore joined the DA's office in 2008.

"It definitely saddens me to leave such a great team of lawyers, investigators and support staff at the District Attorney's office who all work tirelessly (along with our dedicated law enforcement officers) to see that justice is served in the community," Moore said in a statement. "But I am also extremely excited about the new opportunities and professional growth that joining such a well established and well respected law firm like Hatcher & Stubbs will bring. I am honored to be joining as a partner and I very much look forward to this next step in my career."

We will add more details as they become available.
