COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

After five days of trial, and a short deliberation this afternoon by the jury, Lonnie Ragan has been found guilty for the murder of his sister-in-law, Holly Hearn, in 2011, but not of all 14 counts in the case.

Witnesses testified that Ragan stormed onto the Hearn's property during an intense custody battle over his children. Hearn grabbed a 32 caliber revolver, but Ragan shot first, wounding Hearn in the chest nine times.

Hearn's husband, Ryan Hearn, was also wounded in the altercation. Their children were present during the shooting.
