Manhunt for Tenn. murder suspect continues in Cincinnati area

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Police across the Tri-State are searching for a man wanted on murder and robbery charges in Tennessee.

It all started with a traffic stop around 1:00 a.m. Monday morning. A county police officer pulled over a vehicle on Norwood Lateral.

Authorities say a man got out of the vehicle and took off on foot into a wooded area along I-71.

"The subject got out of the backseat of the car and took off running," explains Sgt. Peter Enderle of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. "He ran off the lateral toward Ridge, and then down to 71 and down through a wooded area. The deputy gave chase."

The deputy says he lost the subject after a brief foot pursuit.

Officers have identified the man who took off is 25-year-old Terrence D. Brown from Nashville, Tennessee. Brown is wanted for first degree murder, aggravated robbery and assault.

A helicopter and K-9 Units were called to help authorities track the suspect. However, so far police have found no sign of Brown.

Brown is described as a black male, 6'01" and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a camouflage jacket. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

"Our concern is that if anybody does see him, they should contact law enforcement, contact the police department, but we don't want anybody approaching him," says Enderle. "We want them to contact the authorities with his location."

Officers say that two individuals were in the vehicle with Brown when he fled. However, the two have not been charged.

"The information that the occupants gave us is that they met him earlier, they only knew him as Tim and they were just giving him a ride," explains Enderle.

Police say Brown lived in the College Hill area several years ago. Deputies say loose ties in College Hill may have brought Brown to the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
