Tempe, AZ cosmetic dentist and oral surgeon, Dr. Peter Bassett, is offering denture wearers the chance to get a new, healthy, permanent smile in just one day.

March 12, 2014 /MM-prReach/ —

Tempe, AZ cosmetic dentist and oral surgeon, Dr. Peter Bassett, is offering denture wearers the chance to get a new, healthy, permanent smile in just one day. With the All on 4 Procedure, also called “teeth in a day,” patients can receive full top and bottom arch restorations with just four dental implants each.

Patients who have missing or failing teeth often have to rely on dentures to restore function and aesthetics to their mouth. However, dentures restrict biting force, can be uncomfortable, and can also lead to bone resorption of the jaw. Traditional dental implants, although another viable option for tooth restoration, can often be cost prohibitive and take several months to complete properly. The All on 4 Procedure is helping more people find a solution to a permanent smile quickly and effectively.

“The All on 4 Procedure is completely transforming how denture patients are able to live out the rest of their lives after tooth loss,” said Dr. Peter Bassett, implant dentist in Tempe, AZ. “With this procedure, we’re able to provide patients with a permanent, natural-looking smile that is oftentimes more aesthetic than their smile was before experiencing tooth loss.”

The All on 4 Procedure provides many more patients with the opportunity for permanent smiles due to the fact that it requires less jaw bone density than traditional dental implants. All on 4 is also much less expensive than receiving a full top and bottom arch of traditional dental implants. When completed, a patient with an All on 4 Smile has up to 90 percent restored biting and chewing efficiency.

To complete the procedure, Dr. Bassett performs a mildly invasive surgical procedure in order to insert the four dental implants into both the top and bottom arches of the mouth. Once the implants are inserted, the gums are sutured and the artificial teeth are permanently attached. The procedure takes just a few hours and patients can leave the office with a brand new smile the same day.

In addition to the All on 4 procedure and dental implants in Tempe, AZ, Dr. Bassett and his colleague, Dr. Erik M. Unger, provide a variety of other surgical and periodontal services and procedures. Together, they offer traditional dental implants, mini dental implants, gum grafting, bone grafting, wisdom teeth extraction, treatment for TMJ, and much more.

Dr. Peter Bassett is one of the most experienced oral surgeons in the state of Arizona. He is a graduate of Tufts School of Dental Medicine and completed a maxillofacial surgery residency program at Boston University Hospital. Dr. Bassett is committed to always providing his patients with the latest materials and procedures the industry has to offer, and is constantly involved in continuing education courses. He is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Arizona Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
