Eastbound I-10 reopens after semi jackknifes

Posted: Updated:

All lanes of eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near 75th Avenue were reopened after a semi jackknifed and crashed into the inside lane guard rail Thursday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Drivers were routed to U.S. Highway 60 (Grande Avenue) from just before 6 a.m. until about 8:30 a.m. when the wreckage was cleaned up, an ADOT spokesman said.

The semi, investigation and cleanup blocked the eastbound HOV and two left lanes causing considerable traffic backups on I-10 and traffic entering from Loop 101 throughout the morning commute.
