COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus Fire Chief Ricky Shores confirmed to News Leader 9 that there was a minor gas leak at the Piggly Wiggly located on 13th Street.

Liberty Utilities is handling the leak.

Employees said they smelled gas, and the store was evacuated. Employees and customers gathered in the parking lot for about 30 minutes before being allowed back inside the store.
