COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Carlton McKissic, 37, has been sentenced to life without parole plus 20 years after he was found guilty of all charges related to the sexual molestation of three young girls on March 20, 2012 in Columbus.

After a weekend break it only took a jury about an hour to convict a Columbus man accused of sexually abusing three underage girls.

The charges include aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, three counts each of child molestation and three counts of furnishing alcohol to minors involving then- nine, 10, and 13 year-old girls.

Assistant District Attorney Wesley Lambertus said McKissic gave the girls beer while they watched pornography at a sleep over. He then crawled into bed with the youngest girl and molested her, according to officials.

The jury deliberated for a total of six hours before coming back with a verdict of guilty. Lambertus said the state had a solid case.

"The right thing was done. The evidence was there and I knew it would be difficult for the jury to convict on this case because there's no physical evidence; but, I knew that the victim's were very believable. I was very confident that seeing the statement they hey would believe the victim and they did," said Lambertus after the trial.

McKissic will be sentenced on March 24th. Lambertus says he will ask for the maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
