The Homeless Resource Network of Columbus to hold wine tasting fundraiser at The Loft

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Homeless Resource Network of Columbus (HRN) will be holding a Wine Tasting Mingle fundraiser at The Loft on Friday, March 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event will feature music by the band "The Usual Suspects", led by pianist Tom Chadwick and singer Gloria Wentland. Wine tasting will be by Shannon Croft.

"Our work forms a crucial set of support services not offered by shelters and other groups who specialize in medical and psychological counseling," explains John Studstill, member of the HRN Board.

He continues, "Our office building on Second Avenue offers a storage facility that is the only place where a homeless individual can leave possessions for an extended period of time in a safe environment and have a mailing address. We also specialize in helping people with local bus fare on a limited basis for essential trips such as for a medical check-up, or for obtaining a state ID card."

Studstill explains that HRN also assists homeless citizens with mail, phone calls, job applications, filing tax forms, and many other practical issues.

The Loft is located at 1032 Broadway Ave. in Uptown Columbus. For tickets to this event, call 706-505-9539.
